Share a Bible Verse

Last year a dear friend texted me a Bible verse in the morning that really encouraged and blessed me. She said she and her husband each sent a verse every morning to about 30 people and then each person sent a verse to her. She asked if I wanted to participate? I agreed and began sending her a verse from my quiet time. I asked a couple neighbors, my family, and a few friends on the other side of the world if they wanted to do it? They all agreed. I decided to stop at 10 people because that’s about all the time I have to contact in the morning. Some of them return a verse while others simply reply “Thank you, I needed that” or “Amen”. As I send the verse to each person I pray for them and ask God to help and bless them that day. I am blessed twice as I read through all the verses again and meditate on them at the end of the week.

In addition to my printed Bible, I like to use Blue Letter Bible app because I can put English and Spanish side by side. I can also listen to the chapters read in English and Spanish.  I use Bible Gateway app to share the verse.

I’m curious if any of you do something similar? It might be a good way to make connections with colleagues, neighbors, and family. Please let me know in the comments section.

Here are the verses I shared today. “Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. Psalm 126:5-6
